The focus of the 2019 program of NES is Mobile Applications. The Mobile Apps space has huge potential for India where the proliferation of over 800 million mobile phones has opened up a new opportunity for communication to a vast majority of the Indian population. Internationally Mobile Apps are being embraced by individuals, corporations and academic institutions, which presents a great opportunity for commercialised ideas to serve both the needs of the nation and the imperative of building a successful and scalable commercial proposition.
NES is collaborating with Global Talent Track and Intel Capital to develop training modules on best practices in Mobile Apps Development and Deployment which will be offered to all successful participants in the awards program through scholarships provided by NES.
A NES Mentoring Network is also being set up to enable young entrepreneurs who emerge through this program to have interactions with successful professionals and company CEOs as well as eminent members of NASSCOM CII and the Indian Angel Network (IAN). The Mentor Network will assist students for their project work, research work.
